Fluidizer

CYprocess fluidizers — also called bin aerators or air pads — mount flush on the silo or hopper wall and pulse low-pressure air through a flexible membrane into the product bed. The powder around the pad loosens briefly, and the arch above the outlet collapses.

Overview

About Fluidizer

How this equipment works in powder handling lines and what to consider when selecting it.

Working principle

Compressed air at low pressure enters behind a reinforced membrane. The membrane flexes and releases air evenly into the product instead of blowing a hole in it. Pulsed by a solenoid valve, usually only during discharge, the pads loosen the column above the outlet so gravity flow restarts.

Options and integration

Pad sizes, membrane material and the number of pads are matched to the hopper geometry and the powder. They are controlled in groups from the discharge sequence so air is not wasted into an empty bin, and they combine well with activation hoppers and vibrators on stubborn duties.

FAQ

Fluidizer FAQ

Common questions about selection, integration and quotation.

Only if the pads run continuously at high pressure. Correctly sized and pulsed just during discharge, they loosen the column above the outlet briefly, and the discharge valve governs the flow. Group control prevents pads above the material level from blowing into empty space.
