Storage Silo
CYprocess storage hoppers and silos — also called powder storage bins or day bins — hold powders and granules in SS304 or SS316L vessels with mirror-polished internals (Ra ≤ 0.2 µm) and radiused corners. Vibrators, fluidisers, weighing modules, level switches and sanitary outlet valves are available.

About Storage Silo
How this equipment works in powder handling lines and what to consider when selecting it.
Construction
Square round-corner or cylindrical shells with all corners radiused, so there are no dead corners where powder can hang up. Internals are mirror polished to Ra ≤ 0.2 µm and the outer surface to Ra ≤ 0.8 µm; every weld is bevelled, argon-arc welded on both sides and then ground flush and polished. Fabrication is stiff enough to hold its shape and keep the vessel dust-tight in service.
Options and integration
Discharge aids such as vibrators, fluidisers and agitators keep poor-flowing powders moving. Weighing modules turn the bin into a batching vessel and level switches allow automatic refill, while the outlet feeds the next machine through a valve, feeder or screw. Fixed hoppers or mobile IBC bins — on castors where clean-room floors must be protected — cover most plant layouts.

From the batch size or the refill interval you want, together with the material's bulk density. The outlet geometry then follows the material's flow behaviour, because a hopper sized on volume alone can still bridge or rat-hole if the outlet and slope are wrong.
