CYprocess powder handling and pneumatic conveying systems

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about powder handling equipment selection, system design, quotation and after-sales support.

Before you send an inquiry

Most of the questions below come up during the first exchange on a project, so they are grouped by stage: selecting equipment, designing the system, quoting and ordering, materials of construction, service and support, and safety in dusty or explosive environments. Each answer describes how we normally work rather than a fixed rule, because the right answer usually depends on the material and the layout.

If your question is not listed, ask it directly. A short description of the material, the capacity you need and the route the powder has to take is usually enough for us to answer without a site visit.

  • Material: name, bulk density, particle size, and whether it is abrasive or sticky.
  • Duty: capacity per hour, conveying distance and height difference.
  • Layout: where material arrives and where it has to go.
  • Environment: hygiene requirements, cleaning method and any dust-explosion zoning.

When we need more than an email

Most selections can be answered from the details above. A site visit or a material test becomes worthwhile when the powder is unusually cohesive, when the route has to pass through several floors, when an existing line is being extended, or when a hazard zone classification has to be confirmed against local rules. In those cases we say so early rather than quoting on assumptions.

Where a duty is genuinely marginal between two mechanisms, we will describe both with the trade-offs instead of picking one silently, so the decision is visible to your team.
