Pneumatic Vibrator

CYprocess pneumatic vibrators — also called air knockers or piston vibrators — convert compressed air into sharp rhythmic impacts. Mounted on hoppers, chutes and filter housings, they knock adhering powder loose the moment discharge starts.

Overview

About Pneumatic Vibrator

How this equipment works in powder handling lines and what to consider when selecting it.

Working principle

Inside the body a piston reciprocates against an air cushion and strikes the base plate at each stroke. The impact travels through the wall and shears the bond between powder and steel. Frequency and force follow air pressure and the model size, and running is interleaved with the discharge sequence so the product is only knocked while flowing.

Options and integration

Piston knockers suit heavy adhesion; ball and turbine vibrators give continuous vibration for gentler duties. They are fixed on welded mounting pads and used on hopper cones, bag dump grates, filter housings and screw inlets — anywhere powder packs against a wall.

FAQ

Pneumatic Vibrator FAQ

Common questions about selection, integration and quotation.

Impact (piston) types shear strong adhesion — baked powder on a cone wall, deblinding grates. Continuous ball or turbine types suit products that only need agitation to stay loose. Using an impact unit on a fragile product can over-compact it, so the type follows the material.
