Chemical

Chemical plants move pigments, fluorochemicals, resins and additives between floors and packing formats — needing remote control, wear resistance and flexible bag sizes.

Chemical

Materials we handle

Pigments, dyes, fillers, resins, PVC additives, fluorochemicals, catalysts and specialty intermediates. Many are abrasive, sticky or both, so equipment is selected on flow behaviour and wear resistance rather than on nominal capacity alone.

Multi-floor layouts

Vertical lifts replace manual drums and open buckets where plants move material between floors. Vacuum conveying with a local or remote HMI lets one operator call material to any receiving point without walking the building.

Wear and stickiness

Abrasive pigments wear through thin-wall dilute-phase pipe in months, so lines can be specified with ceramic-lined bends, thicker walls or dense-phase transfer at lower velocity. Sticky powders are handled with larger outlets, agitation and air-assisted discharge.

Packing flexibility

The same intake can feed ton-bag and small-bag packing lines through diverter valves, so a plant does not need two separate conveying systems. Extraction at the fill head keeps the packing area within housekeeping limits.

Dust and filters

Receivers and central dust collectors use pulse cleaning with accessible cartridges or bags, and collected ash is discharged through sealed valves so it does not re-enter the workplace.

Choosing the conveying method

Short in-plant transfers usually favour vacuum conveying for its simple routing. Long or highly abrasive duties often suit dense-phase or pneumatic conveying, which moves material at lower velocity and reduces wear on bends and receivers.

Controls and operation

Systems can run from a local panel or from the plant control room, with level signals, sequence logic and alarms. Recipes and setpoints are held in the controller, so operators do not need to re-set the route at every change.

Typical challenges
