Yes. Belt guides and blade height are adjusted quickly, and bag counting helps verify batch intake. Very different bag formats can be stored as recipes if the machine is ordered with the recipe option.

Where does the dust go?

The cutting chamber runs under slight negative pressure. On the standard build an integral filter collects fines and returns them to the hopper; where a central dust collector exists, the chamber is simply ducted to it.

Working principle

Bags are stacked on the infeed roller table and fed one by one into the cutting chamber. A slitting blade opens each bag along its face, product falls into the discharge hopper and the emptied film passes to the compacting device, which keeps the film from re-entering the product stream. The chamber is kept under slight negative pressure during the whole cycle.

Options and integration

Belt speed, blade pattern and chamber airflow are set from the bag type and product. The hopper outlet feeds vacuum conveying, a screw or a big-bag filling head, and options include bag counting, de-ironing over the outlet and connection to a central dust collector instead of the integral filter.

After the bag is cut open the film is carried out of the chamber to a compacting unit, so it cannot re-enter the product stream and occupies minimal volume in waste. The film path and the product path are separated by the chamber geometry, not by operator attention.
