Diverter Valve

CYprocess diverter valves — also called pipe switching valves — route powder between multiple destinations in vacuum or pneumatic conveying systems. Sealed construction and smooth internals keep conveying efficient and limit product retention at the switching point.

Overview

About Diverter Valve

How this equipment works in powder handling lines and what to consider when selecting it.

Function

The valve sits in the pipeline at a branch and directs the conveying stream to one destination at a time. Because powder lines are sensitive to turbulence and dead pockets, the internal path is kept smooth and the seat closes dust-tight so product cannot leak into the idle branch.

Options and integration

Two-way and multi-way patterns cover most routing needs, in dilute and dense phase duty. Actuation is pneumatic or electric, the body is supplied in stainless, carbon or wear-resistant steel, and the valve mounts between flanges so it can be added to an existing line.

FAQ

Diverter Valve FAQ

Common questions about selection, integration and quotation.

A two-way valve switches between two routes. Where more destinations are needed, either several two-way valves are staged in series or a single multi-way valve is used. The choice follows the layout and how often the routes change.
